The Denime Lot 233 embodies the essence of Japanese denim craftsmanship - a faithful homage to the golden era of American workwear. Part of the XX Series, this Type III jacket is meticulously crafted from “Mother Cotton” selvedge denim, a recreation of vintage fabrics dating back to the 1920s–1930s. Developed in collaboration with Kurabo Mills, the fabric is born from a unique process: uncut threads are extracted from original vintage banners, analyzed in detail, and rewoven with precision. The result is a 7.3×7.3 twill woven from a brown cotton blend, faithfully replicating the irregular texture and warmth of early American denim.
The natural hue of the Mother Cotton - a subtle off-white tone untouched by dye - celebrates the purity of the material itself. Over time, the fabric will evolve with wear, developing a rich patina and texture that tell a personal story unique to its wearer.
